Kasane is a town in Botswana where four countries almost
meet: Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is at the far north-eastern
corner of Botswana. Kasane is at the northern end of the tarred highway
from Francistown and Gaborone. Don't be fooled by Kasane's ramshackle
appearance: it is superbly located. Situated near the confluence of the
Chobe and Zambezi rivers, and close to Botswana's borders with Namibia,
Zambia and Zimbabwe it is the ideal stopover and resupply spot for travellers
to points east, west, north and south.
